Love Letter

1.     Love Letter to Yourself

We don’t often make real plans in advance

for Valentine’s Day and yet it is, in my mind,

a very important holiday.  It is a day when we

share with those we love and recognize them

for all they mean to us.  This year might be a

good time to give some deeper meaning to this

day of love.

Maybe the most important Valentine letter you

can write this year is to yourself -- a time to tell

yourself why you love you.  What have you told

yourself about all the things you have done for

others?  What time have you dedicated to

volunteering?  A few hours here and there, for an

organization you belong to or a cause you believe

in, can build up over the years.  What talents do

you possess and how do you express them?  Are

you sharing you talents with others?  What wisdom

do you possess and how is that shared?  Do you

share it with children, grandchildren or through a

school program?

Do you write in a journal or share ideas through

articles, books or poems?  What rewards have

you given yourself for a job well done or for sticking

to a difficult process?  Think on these ideas. Now

that you have recognized yourself, how can what

you discovered benefit the people you love and

respect?  Share these discoveries with them,

then watch lives change in your world and around

the world.

"Imagination is everything.

It is the preview of life's coming attractions"

2. Books

I am always reading one or two books at a time

for professional development and research.  At

times I pick up a mystery, spy or detective book

and escape into their world of intrigue.

What books are you reading?  Have you come across

a new book that readers of ENERGY EXAMINER might

enjoy? Let me know what you find stimulating, motivating

or fun and entertaining.

My latest book purchases are “Real Medicine, Real Health”

about food as medicine and “Minerals for the Genetic Code”

revealing the biological role of all trace minerals.  I will

report on these books as I read more.

Update on Sue

This past weekend I attended a workshop about marketing

to women on the web.  It was informative and

inspirational.  I met many interesting, fun people.

What really popped for me was my need to have my

story about Fresh and Vital™, (F&V) the device for the refrigerator

or pantry on my web site with a video broadcast.

What follows is a draft of my script.  I would love to test it here

and see what you think.  MY STORY: The proof is in the pictures.

“Hi, I’m Sue Trumpfheller the designer of Fresh and Vital™.  In order

to illustrate to you how effective F&V works in the refrigerator

I hired a cameraman.  He and I went to Trader Joe’s, a market, on May 19th

to shop for our pictures. We chose lettuce, spinach and Portobello

mushrooms. The sticker on the mushrooms indicated they were

packaged May 16th. Photographs were taken that day and then the

mushrooms were then put in my refrigerator with F&V card in place.

I only pulled the original plastic wrap up to cover them first.

32 days from date of packaging and 29 days from the first picture

the Portobello mushrooms were photographed again.  As you can see

there is almost no difference.  The mushrooms still looked fresh and

felt fresh (they were not slimy to touch).  Over the next 5 days, after

the photo shoot, I ate those mushrooms.  Quite a treat!”

1- Tolerations - Zappers

Zappers also known as Tolerations are those little things that nip or niggle at you day after day.  It may be a project stacked on the corner of your desk.  It may be the weeds in the flowerbeds or that missing button on your shirt or jacket.

Each time you pass them, they nip at your mind, at your body and drain your energy.  Then cause you to say, “Oh yes, I need to do that one day real soon.”

Whenever this occurs, several things may happen to you:

1.     You feel guilty for not getting around to it

2.     It pulls energy from your energy field.

3.     It gets categorized as clutter and that gives it a negative spin in your mind.

4.     It creates chatter and confusion in your mind which takes you off focus.

5.    Taken together these may become a burden.

Any one of these “get around to” items could become a fun projects given the proper attention. You may even find a project to produce income for you.

A - Solution: The Exercise

WRITE IT DOWN

When you write it down, you get it out of your body, out of your mind.  Now, you have energy to do the most important task at hand – the key things to accomplish each day.

1. You will find you are completing your intentions for the day and not pulled in a dozen directions.

2. The guilty feelings disappear.

3. The chatter in your head subsides, for on some level you have “handled it”.

4. You start to find time to “get to it” and they “drop” off the list.

5. The “clutter” begins to disappear.

6.     The lists begins to get shorter as if by magic

For a Download worksheet_zappers.doc Download toleration_list_chris.doc

This Zapper list, when completed, goes in a drawer.  It is not a “to do list”.  In fact a Zapper’s list enables you to purge stuff out of your mind, and that is when a magnetic effect begins to happen. You attract people, opportunities and time.  Plus you may be surprised to find yourself in the mood to tackle some of those little things every week.

What’s fun to do is, after 3-6 months, is to pull out the Zapper list and notice how many items have just “dropped off”.  It is then you know all of these little  Zappers has been zinged.  You can continue to add to this list once a month or start a new list as other Zappers appear.

If it is a big project you are avoiding give it a full page in your Zapper Journal.  I will be working on an article on a Zapper-Project later in this newsletter series.  Coming, too, is how to deal with the Jack and Jill Zappers (people in your life who drain your energy).

"What you leave behind is not what is

engraved in stone monuments, but

what is woven into the lives of others (each day)."   Pericles

2 - Books

I have been reading at two extremes these past weeks.  One is A Memoir by Jeannette Walls, The Glass Castle In it she reveals how she was raised in poverty during the 60’s and 70’s and her father was an alcoholic.  It is so stunning that I could only read short segments at a time.  When I finished, I realized the saving grace for her and her whole family was books.  They all read books from the library even when they didn’t have heat, electricity or food.  When Jeannette was getting her bachelor’s degree from Barnard, her father asked for her reading list and read all those books too.

The contrasting book is Human Devolution by Michael Cremo.  It is, in part, an archeological study following on his earlier book, Forbidden Archeology.  Michael sites examples of studies of matter, mind and consciousness to explore the bigger picture.  It took me a time to get into it and now it is at the top of my queue.   This is not a book for everybody, yet if you enjoyed his earlier book you might want to pick one this up. It makes you think. Enjoy!

3 - Update on Sue

This past month I hosted two parties introducing Chi Patterns™ -Designs for Your Well Being along with Chaė® Organics, a line of toxic free skin/body care and some whole food products. (See links below) The reason I bring this up is to demonstrate the importance of knowing the energies of the ingredients you are putting in and on your body as well as what you are feeding your mind.

I have researched, read labels and energy tested a wide field of products over the years.  Now I find myself wanting to know something, not only about the products, but also about the product formulators. I guess the statement “a bitter cook bakes a bitter bread” caught my attention, and I came to realize the importance of how the food and product handlers leave an “impression”.  This adds a new level to your questions about products and food.

My product, Fresh and Vital™, a Chi Pattern™ was created to clean up some of those impressions on food.  The results are amazing.  The food is staying fresher longer, and its vitality is increased.  It works in both the pantry and the refrigerator. GRATITUDE

Reflections

This is the time of year when we look at our lives from may view points. We may express gratitude for the good things in life, grumble about this n' that and make plans for next year.  Then there are the New Year's Resolutions that get made, by some, by the page.  Others may write a line or two or laugh at others who do write them.   Many find that what was so critical to address on Jan 1; some how become unimportant or put aside by the middle or end of January.  So what is happening here?  Why are so many good intentions left to go drifting in the wind?  (Watch the next issue for those answers)

EXERCISE:  Let’s back up a minute and reflect. So how do you want to remember 2006?  What are you grateful for?  What happened that challenged you and yet was a milestone?  What gifts of wisdom did you capture in your journal?    What surprises did you experience?  What were the highlights?  What got in your way?  If you haven’t made a list in the past this might be a great time for some rumination.  Give yourself a gift of time (30 minutes might do it) to see what you discover.

Now before you look at the changes you want to make in your life, ponder on the answers in the above exercise.  Watch and see what bubbles to the surface a few days down the road.  I have a few ideas to share after you have explored 2006.  There is always time to begin changes and Jan 1 is not the magic date when change begins.  We will take this journey in small steps and watch the magic happen.

Past Life Review

In the past month I have experienced a crashed computer.  The files were backed up all except the e-mail addresses so if you are looking for a newsletter please e-mail me so I can add you to the list.

As I sat and rebooted my computer many time in the same loop I slowly felt my stomach sink as I thought of all the information, writings, poetry, workshop outlines and research data I had collected over the last ten years.  It really felt like an out of body experience as it became clearer and clearer that my files were being scrambles and so was my mind.  I did have the good fortune of a brief recovery time so I could visit all my files and folders and save them on disk.

Is that what life is all about?  Is that how it is at the end of life when all you are and all you have done for yourself and others is saved on a CD.  I really hope my life had more purpose than that . I hope that in the archives of life I have touched people in ways that their lives will record the events of our encounters.  May my time with them, no matter how brief or long, will record in their annals of great moments for their life review as well.

So moving on and waiting for the restructuring of my computer I will post and send to my limited list.

Note:  By the was your internet provider does not have a back up of your addresses or e-mails on their server.  It is on YOUR computer and if it crashes so too will all those files.  It may be time to learn how to back up and download all your addresses and essential files you have filed in folders.

Have a beautiful day!!  Sue

Finding Your Genius

The interesting part of writing this newsletter is how all the material comes together.
I may sit down to read a magazine and end up with 3 or 4 new ideas to write about or as I poke in my bookshelves and out pops a favorite book. Sometimes it is an unread book that got put aside.  I love the little ones with out a title on the edge.  They seem to tuck here and there and show up a day or two after you have mentioned them to a friend.

Ideas they can be elusive or shiny objects yet each day they color my world and certainly give me lots to share.  May you find your genius and maybe find some creative and stimulating ideas within the pages of my newsletter.

A Road Map - July

Summer is a time when many people are traveling to old and new destinations.  Where are your travel plans taking you this year?  This issue I talk about how I used the metaphor of the road map with a client as he was exploring going back to a place he had enjoyed in the past.  As you can probably tell I really enjoy metaphors and the ease with which we can shift our perspective and easily get around a road block or easily manage one of those detours we often set up on our path to joy.

How Are You Thinking?

This has been a week when I have been challenged by my computer.  The security system was corrupt and the newsletter did not want to be sent but had to be forwarded.  The people at AT&T sure have a lot of patience as the files open and close slowly and I clicked here and there.  So today I am grateful for their assistance.  I am also grateful for the magic and power of both the internet and blogs.  They have provided me a place to express myself easily and quickly.  I hope it is great for you too, since you do not have to wait until I publish my next book.  If you want to keep up to date on the next 99 Ways book go to the site where it is evolving.

In this newsletter I explore ways to use energy and attitude in applying for the "bosses job" who was fired.  A touchy subject in any world.

Who Packs Your Parachutes?

Charles Plumb was a US Navy jet pilot in Vietnam. After 75 combat
missions, his plane was destroyed by a surface-to-air missile. Plumb
ejected and parachuted into enemy hands. He was captured and spent 6
years in a communist Vietnamese prison. He survived the ordeal and now
lectures on lessons learned from that experience!

One day, when Plumb and his wife were sitting in a restaurant, a man at
another table came up and said, "You're Plumb! You flew jet fighters in
Vietnam from the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk. You were shot down!"

"How in the world did you know that?" asked Plumb..

"I packed your parachute," the man replied. Plumb gasped in surprise and
gratitude. The man pumped his hand and said, "I guess it worked!" Plumb
assured him, "It sure did. If your chute hadn't worked, I wouldn't be
here today."

Plumb couldn't sleep that night, thinking about that man. Plumb says, "I
kept wondering what he had looked like in a Navy uniform: a white hat; a
bib in the back; and bell-bottom trousers. I wonder how many times I
might
have seen him and not even said 'Good morning, how are you?' or anything
because, you see, I was a fighter pilot and he was just a sailor." Plumb
thought of the many hours the sailor had spent at a long wooden table in
the bowels of the ship, carefully weaving the shrouds and folding the
silks of each chute, holding in his hands each time the fate of someone
he didn't know.

Now, Plumb asks his audience, "Who's packing your parachute?" Everyone
has someone who provides what they need to make it through the day. He also
points out that he needed many kinds of parachutes when his plane was
shot down over enemy territory -- he needed his physical parachute, his
menta parachute, his emotional parachute, and his spiritual parachute. He
called on all these supports before reaching safety.

Sometimes in the daily challenges that life gives us, we miss what is
really important. We may fail to say hello, please, or thank you,
congratulate someone on something wonderful that has happened to them,
give a compliment, or just do something nice for no reason. As you go
through this week, this month, this year, recognize people who pack your
parachutes

Color of Coaching

The May/June issue of the Energy Examiner features the Color of Coaching.  You probably know the colors of the rainbow.  Some of you have explored the chakras and their colors.  As a coach I have observed clients move through various stages of awareness in their careers and business.  Over the years, in my work with color I have seen the parallels in these areas.  Enjoy this full spectrum perspective.
I am also working on the colors as they relate to a labyrinth and the development of an idea or building a business.  Stay tuned and enjoy this edition.
