"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."
Thomas Jefferson 1802
Wise words and was any one listening?
In this time of termoil and uncertainity one thing we need to remind ourselves is stay out of fear. The possibilities are unlimited in our changing world and being adaptive and creative keeps our energy and our lives more balanced.
What I learned from the first rejection of the bailout plan by the house: The congressman/woman were listening to their voters. The voters said no more lining the pockets of the people who put us in this mess in the first place. That is what they should do.
Now as I hear about the Senate vote I wonder is they were listening. The house is up for election yet only 1/3 of the Senate is campaigning. Big difference!
